It would never work right,just like Gears of War's(Which I love to this date)split screen,there's just too much stuff on screen to the point where it gets irritating to see and do everything you would otherwise be able to pull off easily in a full screen.
Additionally,I think it would be more fun playing in full view of the city over PSN/Live,so long as the Lag is kept to a minimum,I'll be having a blast with this game Online.

Remember though:These were all Playstation 2 sales,San Andreas for example,sold less than 2 million copies on the Xbox 1 in NA.

Sony may very well negate any lead the 360 version may have in NA,they will do this via Australia,Japan,and Europe sales of the game.
IF the 360 version has no lead in NA,well,let's just say Take2 will be snuggling up to Sony a bit closer in the future.

There's virtually no chance that Microsoft will be able to persuade and convince consumers to buy an Xbox 360 for Blu-Ray,Sony and the Playstation 3 have already set themselves in stone as 'the company that's behind Blu-Ray' and 'the cheapest Blu-ray player' respectively,it would easily cost Microsoft over a Billion dollars to yank HALF of the Playstation 3s 'blu ray player' image...And even then they still have no guarantee that consumers would look past the Ps3 as the primary option for a B...

Microsoft messed up with the Arcade version,I own a Premium so I'm set,but there's at least 5-7 million Core 360 owners,and I think Microsoft should find a way to deal with this storage problem asap.
